Welcome back to the last term for the year. The HSC is coming around very soon so I thought this very short lesson could be used to help some teachers in knowing how to reset the calculator.

Lesson 6
Before students begin their General Mathematics exam, they must all reset their calculators. This is often done by teachers as they enter the exam room. What follows are the steps to reset the calculator and some practical tips.

Part 1 - Steps to Reset the Calculator
It is very simple and the steps are:

MAIN MENU
MEM (bottom right corner)	figure 1
RESET (arrow down and then EXE)	figure 2
YES (F1)	figure 3

Part 2 - Practical Tips
At Joey's, we ask the students to get their calculator to the RESET ALL MEMORIES screen (figure 3) before they come into the Hall. As they enter in single file, we reset their calculator on the way through. It is at this time, you may want to give them a MINTIE for good luck and a friendly reminder to put their calculator back into DEGREES mode (as the default setting is RADIANS).
